Your Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a field-based Military Key Account Manager to join our fantastic Health, Corporate and Performance sales team, where you will provide the best support and maximise both service and opportunity to the UK Military/Ministry of Defence. This is a national role whereby you should expect a high degree of travel and ideally you will therefore live within reach of strong access routes to motorway networks across the country in order to execute the best, and most effective, account management.

 

The successful candidate will have a Military background (i.e. ex-military, previous sales into the Military or strong Military connections) with exceptional account management and relationship management skills. The MoD purchasing and procurement processes are complex, requiring the Key Account Manager to be able to navigate through complexity, have exceptional attention to detail, strong project management skills and high financial acumen. Our salespeople are consultative and sell through value and story-telling, assured by our brand, quality, innovation and Total Wellness Solutions. Teamwork and relationships are key to delivery.

Your Impact

  • Develop a thorough understanding of key clients' needs and maximise annual revenues from assigned accounts for equipment, digital and service in line with their annual budget and company seasonality; visiting 100% of customer sites in the designated accounts
  • Achieve and over-achieve sales targets
  • Project manage major design/re-design, trade-in and relocation projects
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience. This entails developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance sales and customer retention and attending all relevant installations
  • Define the local account market strategy, attending exhibitions and networking events where applicable.
  • Present regularly to decision makers and influencers to update and educate on new products and solutions and follow up on all opportunities to promote the brand and maximise sales opportunities
  • Keep up-to-date as a product and solutions expert
  • Manage within the MoD contract and procurement arm requirements.
  • Manage and report on a reliable and structured Forecast and Pipeline
  • Assure market management and fulfilment of sales and productivity measures in line with the Company sales code
  • Collaborate with all internal teams to deliver the best service and to deliver Total Wellness Solutions
  • Guarantee the best use of CRM to have clean and up-to-date market data
  • Research and feed-back on market/segment/territory trends 

About You

Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down-to-earth and ethical. Experience of, or a proven interest in the fitness industry is highly desirable, along with excellent account management/solution selling/strategic thinking/relationship skills.
