Your Role
We seek a highly motivated Packaging Project Leader to spearhead our packaging initiatives and drive innovation in packaging design and development. As the Packaging Project Leader, you will be responsible for the technical project from concept to execution, ensuring the successful delivery of packaging solutions that meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
Your Impact
- Product Packaging Industrial Design: grant the development of innovative product packaging industrial design concepts and related structural design that enhance consumer unpacking experience, logistics efficiency, and product/operators’ safety of large and heavy products concerning intermodal transport needs including ship, truck, and warehouses. (not graphic design, not related to automated packaging equipment)
- Material Selection and Sourcing: Collaborate with the Product Development and Purchasing Office to Identify and evaluate packaging materials, suppliers, and manufacturing partners, considering factors such as cost, quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that packaging designs and materials comply with regulations, standards, and certifications, such as FDA, ASTM, ISTA, and environmental sustainability requirements.
- Packaging Testing: Define Approval Test Protocol and critical test protocol and lead the qualification of the final solution, verifying adherence to targets and confirming functionality is ‘fit for purpose’
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, mainly product development, style center, marketing, purchasing, and logistic teams, to align packaging strategies with product goals and overall business objectives.
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end packaging projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of packaging solutions for each Product in development.
About You
Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down-to-earth and ethical.
What you should bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Qualification in Sustainable Packaging Design & Engineering is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in product packaging project design, preferably in professional appliances, industrial, and consumer products.
- Demonstrated expertise in packaging design, materials, printing processes, and manufacturing technologies.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing concurrent multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional team management skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to packaging, labeling, and environmental sustainability.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and expert user of 3D CAD systems, preferably PTC Creo 9, and skilled in modeling solids and surfaces
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Wellness and sporty. A personal experience/passion for fitness and/or sport-specific disciplines is an advantage.
