Your Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Prototyping Specialist to join our R&D team at Technogym HQ in Cesena (Italy). You will collaborate with colleagues in R&D and various departments, focusing on prototype development, testing, and material management.

Your Impact

• Assist in the assembly of preliminary and final prototypes using both in-house and external fabrication methods as needed.
• Support the procurement of materials and components from production and prototyping suppliers for prototype fabrication.
• Help organize and manage the materials warehouse for prototypes, including receiving, accounting, and maintaining storage.
• Prepare machines and prototypes for testing, setting up placement areas, and coordinating transport to external laboratories.
• Assist in the management of development prototypes and pre-series machines returned from field tests or market evaluations.
• Collaborate with the test laboratory to support testing of equipment and provide insights to the Process Engineering Team on in-ternal factory processes.
• Offer operational and technical feedback to designers during the prototype fabrication and assembly process.
• Contribute to the organization and maintenance of the prototype laboratory, ensuring a safe working environment compliant with regulations.

About You

Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down-to-earth and ethical. 

What you should bring:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical machining and transformation.
• Familiarity with industrial technical drawing and tolerances.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, machining, and MU machining.
• Experience in welding and carpentry.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to plan activities and resources.
• Understanding of job order and inventory management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Proficiency in English and Italian.
